Yoshi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Yoshi Sushi offers reasonably priced, good Japanese food in a non-intrusive environment. What more can you ask for?

The Establishment

Yoshi Sushi is located in a strip mall with a dozen or so other small restaurants. However, unlike some of the other joints, this place is pretty classy given its locale.

The decor is contemporary with some Japanese artifacts: spherical paper lanterns, decorative sake bottles, and bamboo screens.

Most tables are square with 4 chairs, though there are a few over sized, marble-top tables. There is a sushi bar where you can watch the chefs prepare the food.

The employees are all Asian (the cooks are probably all Japanese, but the waitresses maybe be a mix of Chinese, Japanese and other Asiatic nations).

The service is generally good. The food is made when you order so there is a bit of a wait. It is not an unbearably long wait, but it is certainly not "fast" food.

Outdoor seating available thanks for strip mall. Bathrooms are sufficient.

The Food

The food is quite good - better than what you would expect from a strip mall. It's not spectacular, but it is consistently good especially considering the reasonable price.

You can order from the menu or you can order the all you can eat buffet. Though this is a "buffet", there isn't any food on display to be eaten. You still order what you want, but you can order anything and as much as you like for about $21. Kids menu available. Alcohol available.

This is a very good Japanese restaurant in that it serves up good food at a reasonable price. Service is good, though there may be a bit of a wait. Decor is nice enough to give you a feel of Japan without being overly aggressive about it.
