| If you're looking for good Thai food that is affordable then Thai Cafe is the place for you. This family-owned buffet-style restaurant serves up some solid, good, Thai food without any bells and whistles. The best part is that it's all-you-can-eat at an affordable price ($8 lunch and $10 dinner).

The Food 20 to 30 classic Thai dishes including:
- two kinds of soup
- egg rolls, deep fried vegetable rolls,
- satay chicken, chicken with peanut sauce, curry chicken,
- salt & pepper shrimp, squid, fish steaks, mussels,
- vegetable with tofu, spicy green beans,
- Pad Thai noodles, Pad Kee Mou (spicy noodle), vegetable fried rice,
- coconut jello, sweet sticky rice, fresh orange wedges
- ...and more!
The food here is consistently good and there's enough variety to keep most people happy. There is a mix of savory items, spicy items, and sweet items. Some dishes are deep fried, some are pan fried, and some are steamed. There's seafood, chicken, and vegetarian dishes. So, there should be something for everyone. It's all you can eat, so don't be afraid to go back for more. Indeed, the problem might be that you can't stop going back for more. You can order from the menu, a la carte, but this place is famous for its buffet, so why fight it? You can also order buffets to go: they will give you a styrofoam box and you fill it up at the buffet table just as if you were filling a plate.

The Establishment Thai Cafe is a basic, nice restaurant with no frills (for example, no music, no candles, no dim lighting). You can choose to sit on tables with chairs or in cozy booths. The decor is somewhat plain but it is clean and open. There is a hint of Thai artifacts and the table are adorned with colorful (artificial) flowers. The service is variable. Some employees are cheerful while others are terse from a long day of work. Bathroom is small and could use some improvements. Summary A basically good and nice restaurant serving tasty food at a good price. Great for hungry students and couples, great for families and large groups. Not for CEO's and not for studs who want to impress chicks (unless, of course, you want to impress each other with how much you can eat). Very acceptable for your average consumer, not for a Thai connoisseur. |
