San Diego Bus System
The San Diego bus system is called the Metropolitan Transit System, or MTS. It has about 95 routes with most buses running once every 30 minutes; though, at peak hours, some may run every 15 minutes. Fare is usually $2 or $2.25 but some routes can be as high as $5. A more economical option is to buy a $5 day-pass which will allow you to travel to and fro all day. Monthly passes are available for $72.

If you wish to travel north, there are 50 routes collectively called the Breeze which connect central San Diego to north San Diego. For $3, the DART shuttle van will pick you up within a designated area and drop you off at the nearest transit stop.
