Outdoor Ice Skating
Because of San Diego's year-round mild weather, outdoor ice skating is a rare thing. However, where there is a will, there is a way! In December you can find two outdoor ice skating rinks:
Outdoor Rink at Horton Square Every year, Horton Square is converted into a "Fantasy on Ice" rink. The outdoor rink is 60 feet x 100 feet in size and is graced with holiday decorations. Everyone gets into the spirit by wearing their mitts, scarves, and a big smile. For locals, it's a tradition that they don't want to miss!
