I Missed the Boat: I arrived at the Broadway Pier at 9 am and was in time to see the 9 o'clock sailing depart without me. When they say that the ferry departs on the hour, they mean on the hour....

Me and 6 Kids: In order to really evaluate the New Children’s Museum, I took 6 kids to the hands-on, warehouse-like museum. Six kids to a museum - what was I thinking? That’s the problem, I wasn’t thinking. I was plum crazy....

The Best of: I've been to the San Diego zoo many times and all I've got to say is this: it's big and you walk a lot. Be efficient and realize that not all exhibits are created equal. Some are must-see while others are what I call "ehck"...

Sandballs and Seaweed: A lazy-daisy, easy-peasy day in La Jolla Shores reminds me how lucky I am to be living in San Diego....
