Dog Beach at OB
"Dog Beach" in the north end of Ocean Beach permits dogs to run on the beach without a leash. There are quite a few dog parks in San Diego.
You can play frisbee or bring a ball. Be careful not to bonk anyone on the head!
It's great family fun when you can bring Fido along! Run on the beach, run in the water - what could be more fun?
Dogs must be on a leash as they walk from the car to the Dog Beach area. The leash can be removed once you are at the Dog Beach (near life guard station 5).
There is a parking lot at the north end. Parking lot gets full quickly. paid parking available inland a bit. Notice the giant paw print on the ground. Dog-related notice board available too.
